• Javier Olivera

Javier Olivera is a researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and professor of economics at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP). He holds a PhD in economics from KU Leuven, MSc in economics from the University of Essex and BA in economics from PUCP. His research interests include public economics, socio-economic inequality, pensions, intergenerational transfers, old age and economic demography. Apart from his academic career, he has also worked for the Government of Peru and been involved in consultancy and advisory work for pension reform in Peru, Ecuador, Honduras and Paraguay.
